Warranty on the Afikim Solar Recreational Scooter

Every Afikim Solar Recreational Scooter is covered by an extensive Afikim Electric Vehicles factory warranty for a minimum period of one (1) year, with most coverage extending to a full 2-Year Limited Warranty through Mobility Department. The warranty policy reflects local rules and regulations — contact us for the specific terms that apply to your delivery location.

Structural frame components covered:

  • Main frame, fork, seat post, tiller frame
  • Transaxle*, motor / brake (electronic function only), brake

Parts covered:

  • Bearings, bushings, rubber components (except tires)
  • Plastic components (except body)
  • Electronic controllers, chargers, harnesses, electrical subassemblies

*Increased operational noise in the transaxle voids the warranty (it indicates abusive or excessive strain). Wear-and-tear items (plastic shrouds, upholstery, arm pads, tires/tubes, brake pads, bulbs, lights) and damage from abuse, misuse, accident, or improper operation are not covered. Cost of labor is not included.

How much extra range does the solar canopy actually add?

The integrated photovoltaic canopy delivers up to 30% additional charging capacity, which translates to roughly 6 km (≈3.7 miles) of extra free range per charge cycle. Over a year, that's hundreds of plug-free miles.

Does the solar canopy work on cloudy days?

Yes — solar panels still generate power on overcast days, just less of it. The 30% figure assumes good sunlight; expect a reduced boost in cloudy or low-light conditions. The scooter also recharges via the standard 8-amp wall charger overnight, just like any other electric scooter.

How fast can it go?

The standard top speed is 9.3 mph. The optional motor upgrade bumps it to 11 mph (18 km/h).

Can I use it on grass, gravel, or hills?

Yes. With a 5-inch ground clearance, pneumatic tires, and a 1,400W rear-wheel-drive motor, the Afikim Solar Recreational Scooter handles grass, packed dirt, gravel, sidewalks, and cobblestones. It climbs grades up to 20% (11°) at lower speeds and 15% (8°) at full speed.

Will it fit through doorways or in my home?

The scooter is 27" wide with standard wheels (35" with golf tires) and 61" long. It's designed primarily for outdoor use and is too large for most standard interior doorways. It also does not disassemble or fold for transport.

What seat widths are available?

The orthopedic captain's seat is available in 20", 22", or 24" widths to comfortably fit a wide range of riders.

How is it delivered?

FREE curbside freight delivery is included — your scooter arrives on a pallet with batteries pre-installed and fully charged. Just cut the straps, attach the mirrors, and ride. Optional white-glove delivery is available for full setup at your home.

What customizations are available?

Beyond color, seat size, and motor speed (shown above), you can add extended 100 Ah batteries, golf tires, left-hand throttle mount, in-home service contracts (1–5 years), white-glove delivery, and accessories like a phone holder, cup holder, cane and crutch holders, rear lock boxes, rain sides, weather covers, golf bag holder, and more.

This Product will ship to you for free.

Large and heavy items will be shipped via freight LTL delivery.

You will schedule an appointment with the shipping company once it arrives at your local freight center to plan a time for delivery.

You will be required to sign at the time of delivery.

Products under about 150 Lbs. will ship via ground shipping by FedEx or UPS.

What if there is damage during transit?

Please inspect the condition of your item and its packaging upon delivery, If there is any visual damage to the item or its packaging, please make note of that on the Bill Of Landing for any freight shipment. 

Contact us immediately with your order number and photos/videos to show any damage that might have occurred. 

We will either replace the item or give you instructions for return shipping and a full refund.
